The West Virginia womenòòò½ÊÓƵ™s basketball senior repeated as Big 12 defensive player of the year, the conference announced on Tuesday.
Quinerly also made the All-Big 12 first team for the third time.
Sheòòò½ÊÓƵ™s the second Mountaineer ever to do so.
òòò½ÊÓƵUòòò½ÊÓƵ™s Kyah Watson and Jordan Harrison also made the All-Big 12 team.
Quinerly was a unanimous selection for both the All-Big 12 first and defensive teams.
She is the only òòò½ÊÓƵU player ever to be tabbed defensive player of the year and the fourth player across the league to garner that nod more than once. Courtney Paris of Oklahoma (2006, òòò½ÊÓƵ™07, òòò½ÊÓƵ™08), Bayloròòò½ÊÓƵ™s Brittney Griner of Baylor (2010, òòò½ÊÓƵ™11, òòò½ÊÓƵ™12, òòò½ÊÓƵ™13) and Lauren Cox of Baylor (2018, òòò½ÊÓƵ™19) are the others.
Bria Holmes is the only other òòò½ÊÓƵU player ever to make the All-Big 12 first team thrice (2014, òòò½ÊÓƵ™15, 16).
Quinerly is the first Mountaineer to be featured on the conferenceòòò½ÊÓƵ™s defensive team three times.
Watson joins Quinerly on the All-Big 12 defensive team.
She was also named an honorable mention all-conference selection, and Harrison was named to the all-conference third team.
Quinerly is the 14th Mountaineer to be named to the leagueòòò½ÊÓƵ™s first team, a òòò½ÊÓƵU news release said. Quinerly and Watson give òòò½ÊÓƵU 10 all-time members of the Big 12 all-defensive team.
With Quinerly, Watson and Harrison leading the way, òòò½ÊÓƵU paces the Big 12 in scoring defense (54.4 points per game allowed), steals (411), steal per game (14.2), turnovers forced (708) and turnover margin (plus-8.76).
West Virginia has had 35 all-conference selections in 13 seasons in the Big 12, the release said.
