Defending Ohio Valley Conference boys basketball champion Chesapeake (19-2, 12-1 OVC) rallied from 16 points down in the fourth quarter Monday to beat Ironton 83-76 in overtime at the Conley Center.
The win sets up a showdown for the Panthers on Wednesday versus Fairland (19-1, 13-0) at Chesapeake. If Chesapeake wins, it will tie the Dragons for the league title. If Fairland beats the Panthers, as it did 55-49 in two overtimes Friday, it will win the OVC outright.
Ironton (12-7, 9-4) led 62-46 with 6:04 remaining when Braden Schreck, who scored 34 points, was injured and left the game. The Panthers took advantage, scoring 30 points in the fourth quarter and nine in overtime.
Chesapeakeòòò½ÊÓÆµ™s Maddox Kazee scored 26 of his 34 points in the second half, including 15 in the fourth quarter and four more in overtime.
Kaden Perkins scored 23 points, Ethan Kerns tallied 14 and Karson Frecka produced 10.
The Panthers made 34 of 43 free throws.
Schreck scored 15 points in the third quarter. Irontonòòò½ÊÓÆµ™s Markel Cotton scored 13 points. Ayden Layne and Tyler Roach each netted 11 points.
SOUTH POINT 51, ROCK HILL 47: Ethan Layne scored 18 points to pace the Pointers (10-10, 7-7 OVC) by the Redmen (6-14, 2-11) in Pedro, Ohio.
Ethan Hunt tallied 12 points and Brayden Hanshaw added 11 for South Point.
Rylan Barker scored 13 points for Rock Hill. Kelan Davidson backed Barker with 11 points.
WEST CARTER 63, FAIRVIEW 41: Jacob Waddell scored 15 points and grabbed 13 rebounds as the Comets (4-21) beat the Eagles (4-17) in Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Wade Lawson totaled 15 points and Brody Boggs added 14 for West Carter.

BUFFALO 59, GRACE CHRISTIAN 45: The Bison (12-5) outscored the Soldiers 34-29 in the middle two quarters to pull away for a victory in Putnam County.
The Bison led 13-12 after one period and used a 19-11 run to take a 32-23 advantage into halftime. Buffalo then outscored Grace Christian 15-8 in the third quarter.
Brooke Woods tossed in 26 points for the Bison. Alivia Lukart scored 17 and Cami Samples added 11.
Jenna Tanner topped the Soldiers (12-10) with 17 points.

GREEN 59, SCIOTOVILLE EAST 20: Abbie Knapp outscored the Tartans on her own with 22 points as the Bobcats (20-1, 8-0 Southern Ohio Conference) won in Franklin Furnace, Ohio.
Matti Hayslip backed Knapp with 15 points. Elizabeth McBee scored 13.
