L.J. Murphy went 4 for 4 for òòò½ÊÓÆµhland, which knocked 11 hits. Brady Marushi was 2 for 3.

IRONTON 4, GALLIA ACADEMY 2: The host Fighting Tigers overcame a rough start and shaky end to defeat the Blue Devils.
Gallia Academy (4-11, 4-4 Ohio Valley Conference) took a 1-0 lead when Maddux Delaney singled in Tyler Young in the first inning.
Ironton (11-1, 9-0) countered with four runs in the second to take a lead they never relinquished. Jacob Hughes doubled in Ian Ginger to tie it. Hughes scored go-ahead on a passed ball. Nick Sites and Bryson Kerns each walked with the bases loaded to plate Tanner Kleinman and Carter Bridges.
The Blue Devils set the score in the seventh when Young grounded into a fielderòòò½ÊÓÆµ™s choice to score Nathan Shockey.
Braydon Baker was the winning pitcher, allowing five hits, striking out six and walking one in a complete game.

LAWRENCE COUNTY 9, FLOYD CENTRAL 1: Tyger Cavins went 3 for 5 with three RBIs as the Bulldogs (13-9) defeated the Jaguars (12-10) in Eastern, Kentucky.
Eli Fletcher was 3 for 5 and knocked in two. Gray Derifield went 3 for 4 and stole five bases. Logan Whisenant went 3 for 4. Boedy Maynard fanned nine, walked three and allowed three hits to pick up the win.

BATTLE FOR THE ANCHOR: Point Pleasantòòò½ÊÓÆµ™s boys and Gallia Academyòòò½ÊÓÆµ™s girls won titles in the dual meet of cross-Ohio River rivals.
The Big Blacks boys won 80-57 as Reece Hunt took high point honors. Hunt won the 100-meter hurdles in 15.23 and the 300 hurdles in 41.23. He placed second in the 200 and was part of the winning 4x200 relay.
