A Huntington St. Joe Middle School football player is recovering after his heart reportedly stopped Thursday during a game at Fairlandòòò½ÊÓÆµ™s Jim Mayo Memorial Stadium.
The player, identified only as Josh C., suffered a cardiac arrest on the final play of the game. Lawrence County EMS transported the player to a local hospital.
St. Joe officials declined to comment out of respect for the studentòòò½ÊÓÆµ™s privacy but released a statement: òòò½ÊÓÆµœThanks to God for the emergency medical staff, as well as the hospital staff, who administered wonderful care.
