SOUTH POINT, Ohio Ƶ Jasmyn Jones said she likes basketball and enjoys track and field but loves soccer.
The South Point High School star will have the chance to deepen her affection for the game for four more years. Jones signed with the University of Pikeville on Tuesday.
Jones has played soccer since she was 6, growing into an all-stater who last season led the Pointers to their first Ohio Valley Conference championship.

Jones picked UPike over offers from Shawnee State and Kentucky Christian. She said sheƵll probably major in elementary education with an eye on coaching.
ƵUPike stood out,Ƶ Jones said. ƵIt was nice and everyone there was nice. I loved it there.Ƶ
Jones scored 37 goals and made six assists in 2024 to help South Point to a 14-4 record. She tallied a Pointers-record 115 goals for her career.

Jones played striker for the Pointers. She said UPike coach Logan Langseth said he thinks Jones will excel on the outside. Jones said sheƵs willing to play anywhere if it helps the Bears.
Jones thanked Collins and former coach Erin Jenkins, who mentored her for three seasons. Jones also thanked God for her ability to play.
