POINT PLEASANT, W.Va. Ƶ James Toth sounds as if he might complain about a supermodelƵs hairbow.
The Wahama High School football coach said his team has work to do even after blasting Sherman 61-0 Friday in a Class A playoff game at Point Pleasant HighƵs Ohio Valley Bank Track and Field.
ƵWe have to clean up some mistakes and get ready for the next round,Ƶ Toth said, likely knowing he was nitpicking a bitJam.
That next round is the state semifinals. The third-seeded White Falcons (12-0) visit second-seeded Tucker County (12-0) at 4 p.m. Saturday.
Toth said his team is not looking ahead to the state championship game against either top-seeded Tug Valley (12-0) or No. 4 Cameron (11-1).
ƵWeƵre taking this thing one game at a time,Ƶ Toth said. ƵWeƵve being saying this since we started, the only team thatƵs going to beat us is ourselves. If we clean up our mistakes and play our best football, weƵve got a chance.Ƶ
If FridayƵs blowout of the Tide wasnƵt WahamaƵs best, it was quite close. The White Falcons led 21-0 after one quarter overall outgained Sherman 488-88. Connor Lambert ran for 123 yards on just seven carries. Reezin Stitt carried four times for 109 yards. Trace Simpkins completed 6 of 9 passes for 92 yards.
Wahama has outscored foes 129-13 in the playoffs.
In Tucker County, the White Falcons face a squad that has beaten East Hardy 30-0 and Pendleton County 50-0. The Mountain Lions have shut out five opponents.

The White Falcons routed Webster County 63-7, Tucker County romped over the Highlanders 50-0. Wahama pounded Gilmer County 63, the Mountain Lions rolled the titans 50-0.
