POINT PLEASANT, W.Va. - Point Pleasant and Mingo Central met to begin the 2018 high school football season, and Saturday one will end the other's quest for a Class AA state championship.

The eighth-seeded Big Blacks (8-1) entertain the ninth-seeded Miners (8-2) at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Ohio Valley Bank Track and Field. It is a rematch of the season-opening contest won by Point Pleasant 42-35 at Mingo Central.
