Yost, of Barboursville, won his second òòò½ÊÓÆµGA tournament in as many days on Thursday, taking the Senior Series event at Pipestem Resort State Park. On Wednesday, Yost won at Fincastle golf course in Bluefield, Virginia.
On Thursday, Yost shot 1-under-par 71 to top the 108-player field at the 6,717-yard Pipestem course.
Coal Cats rained out
Lightning halted a pitchersòòò½ÊÓÆµ™ duel featuring the Tri-State Coal Cats and Danville Otterbots on Thursday in Appalachian League baseball at Jack Cook Field.
The teams were tied 0-0 in the sixth inning when thunderstorms rolled in and stopped play.
The teams were to resume the contest at 5 p.m. Friday, followed at 7 p.m. by the regularly scheduled game.
For Danville, starter Brandon Jung (Florida Southern) struck out six in five innings. Michael Daniel (Jacksonville State) followed with one inning, striking out three.
The Coal Cats countered with Bryant Yoak (West Virginia), who turned in three scoreless innings and struck out six. Noah LaFine (Ohio State) took over in relief and fanned three in two innings. Alberto Duran made his Appalachian League debut with one strikeout in one inning.
