Rivalry week enters the high school football spotlight this weekend, with adversaries taking on each other for bragging rights.

How can the offense turn things around against Gardner-Webb?

West Virginia has added a third offensive lineman to its football recruiting class of 2023 in the form of Nick Krahe, a mobile, athletic blocker from Pennsylvania who announced his commitment on Monday morning.

An all-region selection as both an offensive and a defensive lineman in 2021, Krahe compiled 59 tackles, six quarterback hurries and a sack on the defensive front as a junior. Heòòò½ÊÓƵ™s slotted as an offensive tackle at West Virginia, where he can put his excellent footwork and quickness in pulling and pass protection to use.

Heòòò½ÊÓƵ™s lined up at both guard and tackle on the offensive line for Harbor Creek, where he combines good drive blocking fundamentals with the ability to pull and get squared up on blocking targets quickly.

Kraheòòò½ÊÓƵ™s aggressiveness also stands out in finishing blocks, as he keeps his feet moving and clears sizable gaps by knocking defenders off their feet. He has also played on both sides of the offensive line, which give him familiarity with playing out of both stances.

Krahe joins offensive linemen Johnny Williams IV, and Cooper Young in the West Virginia recruiting class of 2023. All in that trio stand at least six feet, five inches and have excellent reach and wingspans, continuing a point of emphasis for offensive line coach Matt Moore.

An outstanding student with a 4.0+ GPA, Krahe had offers from numerous Ivy League schools, as well as Lehigh and Lafayette. Power 5 schools on board with offers included Maryland, Pitt and Boston College, with Air Force, Buffalo, Kent State, Toledo, UConn, Youngstown State and others also in the mix with scholarship tenders.
