A Voice of the People writer on Sept. 25 distorted facts pertaining to Trump. He apparently hasnƵt been to the gas station or grocery shopping since he can say, ƵAm I better off today? Yeah!Ƶ
During the Trump-Harris debate, Harris was asked the same question. Even Socialist Harris would not answer the question. Harris knew that the public was suffering under the Biden-Harris economy and did not want to look foolish.
The writer says that our nation was in the throes of COVID, a national crisis that Trump ignored. That is false. Trump first stopped Chinese citizens, which is where COVID originated, from entering our country. Then he put our country in emergency mode to develop a vaccine for COVID. (When Trump left office, the Trump medical team had a vaccine ready for the Biden Administration to use.) It should be noted that more people died from COVID during the Biden administration than during the Trump administration.
The writer criticized Trump for evading the draft and myself for criticizing WaltzƵs military record. The writer even wonders if TrumpƵs replacement had been killed. I commend Waltz for his 24 years of service in the National Guard. I did justly criticize Waltz for retiring from the military when his unit was expected to be sent to the Iraq war; he was the unit commander. How many of his unit died because of losing their commander?
I am glad the writer of Sept. 25 feels that he is better off today than four years ago. However, with the huge increase in inflation, illegal immigration, crime, and supporting two wars, most citizens know we were better off four years ago.
