The truth is, the people we elect to represent us are really from the bottom of the barrel. Rep. Carol Miller is a good example. She meets with officials, never with Ƶwe the people.Ƶ Her offices never answer the phone. Being a congressman or senator was never intended to be a career. Once out of office they remain in Washington (see Joe ManchinƵs new gig).
By the way, Terry Booten, office manager for former Rep. Nick RahallƵs Huntington office, always answered the phone. Robert C. Byrd had to be carried out of the Senate on a gurney. W.W. Barron became a Chicago cab driver, Ten-cents-on-the-dollar Jim Justice is our junior senator. On and on it goes.
