Melania Trump released a statement asking why the Secret Service cannot be more forthcoming about her husbandòòò½ÊÓƵ™s first assassination attempt.
Melania Trump rarely speaks to the press. She is certainly right to question the lack of information put out by the Secret Service. She was watching the Trump rally on television when he was shot. Their son was in the yard at the time. A neighbor ran over and told him that his father had been shot. Can you imagine the horrible feeling that Trumpòòò½ÊÓƵ™s wife and son had on hearing this news?
The news just reported that Jill Biden, at an indoor event at the time of Trumpòòò½ÊÓƵ™s rally, had 12 specially assigned Secret Service agents, while Trump had far fewer special agents, perhaps as few as three. And yet, the Secret Service knew that Iran was planning an assassination attempt.
Trump is a former president as well as a presidential candidate. The Secret Service must start giving him proper protection. President Biden must make it clear to Iran that if they attempt to assassination Trump or any other American, that the ayatollah and other Iranian officials would be hunted down and killed.
One top Secret Service official said that Trumpòòò½ÊÓƵ™s ear was hit by something other than a bullet. He later had to apologize. The available facts seem to indicate that Trump was purposefully unprotected, leaving him vulnerable for an assassination. The Secret Service must more clearly explain why Trump was not fully protected.
