This week, our congressional representative, Carol Miller, did not directly respond to several questions concerning President Trumpòòò½ÊÓƵ™s obvious unfitness and whether she supports impeaching Trump from office. I am unhappy seeing this lack of foresight and leadership from my districtòòò½ÊÓƵ™s representative, especially considering this weekòòò½ÊÓƵ™s unhinged way Trump endangered the American (and global) economy with his insanely corrupt tariffs.
òòò½ÊÓƵ a concerned citizen and voter from Huntington, itòòò½ÊÓƵ™s plainly visible that Trump is leading the country into authoritarianism. He has threatened not to leave at the end of his second and constitutionally mandated last remaining term. He has stolen Congressòòò½ÊÓƵ™s power of the purse and allowed the worldòòò½ÊÓƵ™s richest man to run roughshod over the peopleòòò½ÊÓƵ™s government. He and his cabinetòòò½ÊÓƵ™s idiocy and lawlessness in matters of national security has endangered our troops and Americaòòò½ÊÓƵ™s place as the leader of the free world.
When people correctly predicted that the Trump administrationòòò½ÊÓƵ™s first few months of office would be this insanely corrupt, they were accused of having Trump Derangement Syndrome, but the truly deranged part of all this is that he has not been impeached for his conduct, which puts the American experiment at risk.
I am encouraging Miller to publicly commit to upholding their most fundamental democratic role òòò½ÊÓƵ” removing tyrants from office. Commitment to basic facts òòò½ÊÓƵ” that Trump is a tyrant, and Congress should act now to get him out of the White House òòò½ÊÓƵ” will be a major litmus test for any 2026 candidate, considering the damage he has and will continue to do to our nation. I hope we get a good response from our representative on this critical issue soon.
