Well, now the true colors of Shelley Moore Capito and Jim Justice come out. No matter how they spin the tale about their vote for the ƵBig Beautiful Bill,Ƶ they sold out West Virginians. No matter what the bill does for West Virginia, rural hospitals will close, cancer treatments will be disrupted, seniors in nursing homes will be left to find relatives who will care for them. The children will lose their SNAP benefits, which will allow more children to go to bed hungry and malnourished. Working families will continue to struggle with higher costs as billionaires line their pockets. (Paraphrasing The Herald-Dispatch article and quote of Ellen Allen, executive director of West Virginians for the Affordable Care Act.)
ƵWhy?Ƶ is the only question that can be asked of these two senators as well as the House of Representatives members from West Virginia. Why hurt the common working men and women you are supposed to represent in Washington?
The one reason I believe is that they are so far in TrumpƵs pocket and part of the MAGA movement, they no longer think about us left in the Mountain State. The only thing they want is money and to remain in Washington to continue to represent their own self-interests.
Well, voters in West Virginia, wake up and go vote in the next election to remove these people from office. No matter whether you are a Republican, Democrat or independent, donƵt be led blindly by those who promise you a better future and then take that away with one vote. DonƵt drink the Kool-Aid that they say out that one side of their mouth.
