Diversity, equity and inclusion Ƶ declaring this as a Ƶliberal agenda itemƵ is a false narrative. There is nothing nefarious in ensuring that people have a seat at the table. ItƵs what the self-evident truths are about. And spreading the lie that diversity, equity, and inclusion are not good is at its core rooted in extremism and elitism, and stained with racism.
Think about it. Some of the very politicians who are proudly condemning DEI will either be silent on the day set aside to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.Ƶs work and legacy or they will try to quote him. Will our newly sworn-in governor have comments on Jan. 20? Will the voices who loudly lambast efforts to be inclusive today try to quote Dr. King while they so blatantly use the word ƵwokeƵ as a four-letter word of condemnation? Will those who are so upset about equity continue to claim our hard fought freedoms as just for themselves? And will they continue to claim that those not aligned with their thinking are unpatriotic and wrong?
Are we really paying attention to the words of our elected officials and those who support anything that limits rights and freedoms for everyone?
