Esteemed poet Dr. Maya Angelou said when people tell you who they are, believe them. From the time Donald Trump came down the golden escalator in Trump Towers in 2015, he has told us exactly who he is.

He began by calling immigrants rapists and murderers. He calls them animals that are poisoning the blood of our country, asserting they have bad genes that predispose them to murder. He questioned why we can't get migrants from Sweden and suggested we should trade Puerto Rico for Greenland. During the presidential debate he stated legal Haitian migrants in Springfield, Ohio, were eating the cats and dogs of locals. He claims with no evidence that South American countries are emptying their prisons and insane asylums and sending them here. At his rally in California, he said if deported migrants return to the U.S., he would imprison or execute them. His immigration policy was to rip the children of South American immigrants from their mothersƵ arms and place them in wire cages. The cruel and barbaric image of all of those children treated like animals should be seared into the hearts and minds of all Americans. Understand what he means when he makes these derogatory remarks. He does not mean all immigrants, just those with brown or black skin. He married two white immigrants.
