WINFIELD Ƶ The Winfield Generals (3-2) earned a dominant home victory over Logan (2-3) Friday night.
LoganƵs only score of the night came on a kick return touchdown by Zayden Sherod.

We scored first, it was called back due to an illegal shift, but we were in control of the game. Things were going as we planned until adversity hit. Adkins shared that he doesnƵt believe the Wildcats provided the same effort against Winfield that they did in their upset win over Class AA Poca at home last week.
ƵMy overall feeling of this game has nothing to do with the final score,Ƶ he said. ƵItƵs the poor attitude and effort that we showed when things werenƵt going our way. ItƵs inexcusable. I will not accept that stuff in this program.Ƶ
Adkins credited Winfield as an opponent.
ƵWinfield is good team. Field conditions actually had no bearing on the way the game was played. They play extremely hard, and they just continue playing regardless of the situation. We did not.
ƵItƵs hard to find any positives in this kind of game. I guess one could be that we found out who we can trust on this team. I saw the ones who IƵd want on my side going in to battle.Ƶ
Adkins spoke about how his team plans to use the upcoming bye week to prepare for a matchup at rival Scott on Oct. 11.
