IRONTON Ƶ The 157th annual Ironton-Lawrence County Memorial Day Parade decorated the streets of Ironton for MondayƵs holiday.
It is the longest continuously running Memorial Day parade in the country.
For 2025, Lou Pyles served as parade commander, and U.S. Navy veteran Charles Emerson Wiseman was the honorary grand marshal.
Among parade participants were the Ironton High School band, football team and cheerleaders; Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 949; Symmes Valley Veterans; the Russell High School Air Force JROTC; Rock Hill High School band and cheerleaders; Ironton Mayor Sam Cramblit and the Hershel ƵWoodyƵ Williams VA Medical Center of Huntington.
About 30,000 spectators were expected to watch the two-hour-long parade.
