Mountwest Community and Technical College in Huntington, shown in this 2021 file photo, will expand two of its apprenticeship programs thanks to a grant from The LoweƵs Foundation.

HUNTINGTON Ƶ Mountwest Community and Technical College could have a new type of student center, called a ƵDigital Learning Commons,Ƶ by this winter, according to Rodney Pell, executive director of environmental health, safety and facilities.

According to Pell, the commons will include a socializing area, focused study areas, isolated spaces, new furniture, enhanced wi-fi capabilities and access to tablets and laptop devices.
