HUNTINGTON Ƶ Children were invited to show up to the Cabell County Public Library Saturday dressed as princesses, princes, knights, queens, villains and even frogs for an afternoon tea party.
Attendees played games, won prizes and entered raffles. A variety of ƵroyalƵ snacks were served, including cookies, cupcakes, muffins, donuts, pretzels, fruit, cheese and tea sandwiches.

Kool-Aid and juice were available for those who didnƵt want tea, and goody bags full of stamps and other small toys were given on the way out.
Stacy Bond, a childrenƵs librarian, said this was the 21st annual tea party, and nearly 300 children attended. The tea party, she said, began as a fun idea to teach kids they are Ƶsmart, brave and donƵt need someone to save them.Ƶ
Quilts were raffled off courtesy of Creative Quilters of Huntington, and the tea party was paid for through funding from micro grants courtesy of Huntington City Council members DuRon Jackson and Pat Jones.
