HUNTINGTON Ƶ Brent Leggs, the most outstanding figure in Black historic preservation, will present the Dr. Carter G. Woodson Lecture at 4 p.m. Monday in the Shawkey Dining Room in the Memorial Student Center at Marshall University.
The program is sponsored by Drinko Academy and The Woodson Lyceum.

Leggs is the executive director of the African American Cultural Heritage Action Fund, and senior vice president of the National Trust.

The Woodson Lyceum at Marshall University was created in 2016. It takes its name from AristotleƵs first school, which was called a lyceum, but the name also is associated with justice and freedom for African Americans and the press.
