BARBOURSVILLE òòò½ÊÓÆµ” Alex Armstrong, a senior at Cabell Midland High School, was diagnosed with anaplastic large cell lymphoma, a form of non-Hodgkinòòò½ÊÓÆµ™s lymphoma on April 11.
On Sunday, May 19, a color run 5k will be hosted by the CMHS student council at the Barboursville Park in which all proceeds from the event will go toward paying Armstrongòòò½ÊÓÆµ™s medical bills and living expenses.
The entrance fee for the event is $20, which includes a shirt for the first 225 runners and a spot in the 5k. There will also be vendors, whose proceeds will be donated in a large part to Armstrong.
Registration, parking and check-in for the event begins at 3:30 p.m. at the amphitheater the day of the event. Runners may also register at through “Run 4 Alex.”
Physical donations may be made at the park the day of the 5k. More information can be found on the CMHS Student Council Facebook .
