HUNTINGTON Ƶ An Ohio man who was charged with two counts of DUI in connection with a crash along U.S. 60 that claimed the life of a Cabell County teen is being held on a $300,000 bond.
Joshua Michael Wilson, 23, of Middleport, Ohio, was arraigned in Cabell County Circuit Court on Thursday and is facing charges of driving under the influence causing serious bodily injury and driving under the influence causing death after a three-vehicle crash on July 4.
The crash, which was near the intersection of U.S. 60 at Davis Creek Road, killed Cabell Midland High School student Braxton Hayden McComas, 17, and caused serious bodily injury to a teen passenger in McComasƵ vehicle.
Cabell County Circuit Court Judge Sean K. Hammers announced Thursday he would appoint an attorney, likely Joseph Hunter, to Wilson if he qualified.
Hammers set the $300,000 cash bond for Wilson, unless WilsonƵs future attorney argues against it.
Wilson is currently being held in Western Regional Jail and will return to court for a pre-trial hearing at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 29.
The funeral for McComas, who was a rising senior at Cabell Midland High School, took place in July.

According to McComasƵ obituary, he is survived by his parents Jason Lee McComas and Amanda Lee Mercer. His obituary suggests for any donations to be made in his name to the Huntington Cabell Wayne Animal Control Shelter.
