BARBOURSVILLE Ƶ Despite the cold, people in Barboursville were thinking warm thoughts as the villageƵs ƵHawaiian ChristmasƵ parade took place Thursday night.
Community members and organizations strolled through town on colorful displays to celebrate the holiday season. Following the parade, the village Christmas tree was lit.
Other upcoming events include Breakfast with Santa at 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at Dave & BusterƵs at the Huntington Mall in Barboursville; the Coal Country Chapter Christmas Dinner and Evening of Cheer from 6-8 p.m. Dec. 7 at American Legion Post 177, 6024 U.S. 60 in Barboursville; Story Time with Meg and Andrew Shaffer at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, at Booktenders, 621 Central Ave. in Barboursville; and another Breakfast with Santa opportunities from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, at American Legion Post 177.
