HUNTINGTON Ƶ A benefit concert, dubbed Shatter the Silence, will help raise funds and awareness for the CONTACT Rape Crisis Center.
The concert is planned for Saturday, Sept. 14 at The Loud, 746 6th Ave., Huntington. Doors for Shatter the Silence open at 5 p.m.; the concert begins at 6 p.m. on Sept. 14.
This isnƵt just another concert Ƶ itƵs a chance to stand up and support survivors of sexual violence right here in our community,Ƶ the crisis center stated in a news release.
Performers in the lineup — including Hello June, Friendly Fire, Blue Twisted Steel, Summit Point, Sam Eplin, and the Stratty Trio — are donating their time and talent. Tickets are available for purchase at . Tickets are $25 online and $35 at the door.
ƵEvery ticket sold, every song played, and every cheer from the crowd helps raise awareness and funds for CONTACT Rape Crisis Center,Ƶ according to the release. ƵCONTACT provides critical services like crisis intervention, counseling, advocacy, and prevention education. Attendees will help to break the silence and support survivors on their journey to healing."
