HUNTINGTON Ƶ Marshall Health Network celebrated National Nurses Week, May 6Ƶ12, 2025, by honoring the hard work, compassion, and dedication of the nurses who care for patients across our hospitals and clinics every day, according to an MHN release.
Along with its hospitals, MHN took time to recognize how nurses go above and beyond to serve our communities.
Cabell Huntington Hospital (CHH) and St. MaryƵs Medical Center (SMMC) also awarded four individuals with the Golden Stethoscope Award, to recognize their extraordinary work and excellence in patient care, customer service, communication and teamwork, the release states.
This yearƵs winners are:
CHH: Coty Johnson, LPN and Malissa Tackett, PCA
SMMC: Stacy Coburn RN and Cazzie Lucas, PCS
ƵOur nurses are the heart of our organization and are often the first and last people patients see during their care,Ƶ Andy Mullins, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, CNL, interim chief nursing officer for MHN, said in the release. ƵThey work every day with compassion, strength and knowledge to advance health, inspire hope and serve you. WeƵre proud to celebrate and thank them this week and every week.Ƶ
Throughout the week, MHN also hosted appreciation events, shared nurse stories on social media and recognized nurses with more than 20 years of dedicated service.
