APPOINTED: Congratulations to Dr. Corley Dennison who was appointed on April 7 as interim president at the Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College in Logan. He currently serves as vice chancellor emeritus for Academic Affairs at the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission. Dennison has decades of experience in higher education leadership, teaching, and administration as he recently retired from a 29-year career at Marshall University. He received his bachelorƵs degree from James Madison University, his masterƵs degree from Northwest Missouri State University, and his doctorate from West Virginia University. Dennison and his wife, Betty, live in Ona.

CANTATA: Several local musicians Ƶ Sara Boyd, Maggie Chenoweth, Reverend Al Flaitz, Stefanie Flouhouse, Kayley Glover, Heather Glover, Mallory Mount and Allen Smith Ƶ shared their time and talents by playing their musical instruments for an Easter cantata presented last Sunday at Pea Ridge United Methodist Church by a community choir from Barboursville Baptist Church, Barboursville First United Methodist Church, Steele Memorial United Methodist Church, Hope Christian Center and Pea Ridge United Methodist Church. Trina Smith was the director.
