CANAAN VALLEY, W.Va. òòò½ÊÓÆµ” Longtime Cabell County Schools teacher Deborah Chapman was presented with the West Virginia Career Technical Education Distinguished Service Award on Sept. 4 during the Fall Career Technical Education Administrators Conference in Canaan Valley, òòò½ÊÓÆµ.
This award is given to Career Technical Education professionals for their leadership, commitment, and innovations in CTE and their contributions to the field over an extended period of time.
Chapman worked for 50 years in the Cabell County Schools District. She received this award as recognition of her creative and innovative ways of teaching Family and Consumer Sciences and for her dedication and commitment as an Academy Coordinator.
