ASHLAND òòò½ÊÓÆµ” Now in its sixth year, the AED Donation Program of Kingòòò½ÊÓÆµ™s Daughters Health Foundation and Kingòòò½ÊÓÆµ™s Daughters Auxiliary has provided more than 150 automated external defibrillators (AEDs) to community organizations throughout the UK Kingòòò½ÊÓÆµ™s Daughters service area, and applications for the 2025 program are open now through Friday, Feb. 7.
AED awards will be announced in February, according to a news release.
To be eligible, applicants must be an IRS-designated non-profit organization. Awards are based on community need, with priority given to:
First responders, especially in rural areas
Organizations that are open/serve the public 24/7
Organizations that donòòò½ÊÓÆµ™t currently have an AED
Organizations located in or serving residents of the following counties:
In Kentucky: Boyd, Carter, Elliott, Floyd, Greenup, Johnson, Lawrence, Lewis and Martin
In Ohio: Lawrence, Scioto
Successful applicants will be required to attest to the organizationòòò½ÊÓÆµ™s ability to maintain, use, and secure the AED appropriately. At least one individual representing the organization will be required to undergo AED training or provide documentation of such training.
